DUTCH TOUCH PARIS 2005 – New Arrivals Maria Luisa Carte Blanche

From July 18th till the 3rd of August, the Dutch Fashion Foundation celebrated the new arrivals at the contemporary Dutch design store Maria Luisa Carte Blanche in Paris. These new arrivals where the last to arrive in the temporary store, and also marked the official end of Dutch Touch Paris.

DUTCH TOUCH PARIS 2005 – Photo exposition ZOOM, Eyes on Dutch Fashion

The photo exhibition ZOOM, Eyes on Dutch Fashion was officially opened after the two fashion defiles on Monday the 4th of July at Galliera, Musée de la Mode de la Ville de Paris, open to the public till the 21st of August 2005.With this exhibition eight photographers and creative director Michel Mallard present their view on Dutch fashion. Coming from different directions, each of these authors offers a personal interpretation of the new Dutch fashion talents.

DUTCH TOUCH PARIS 2005 – Défilé Mode Féminine

In the afternoon of Monday July 4th, the Dutch Fashion Foundation presented the Défilé Mode Féminine at Galliera, Musée de la Mode de la Ville de Paris. In the garden of Musée Galliera, fashion designers Angelos Bratis, Jan Taminiau and Percy Irausquin presented their womanswear couture collections. Models in the most feminine designs of silk, lace and tulle came striding down the grand staircase, their dresses flowing in the wind.

DUTCH TOUCH PARIS 2005 – Défilé Mode Masculine

In the morning of Monday July 4th, the Dutch Fashion Foundation presented the Défilé Mode Masculine at Galliera, Musée de la Mode de la Ville de Paris. Dutch fashion designer Jeroen van Tuyl presented the new collection of his menswear label JEROEN Van TUYL in the colonnade of Musée Galliera. Due to family circumstances Francisco van Benthem was unable to present his new WOLF-homme collection.

DUTCH TOUCH PARIS 2005 – Opening Maria Luisa Carte Blanche

On Monday June 20th, a new project of the Dutch Touch Campaign officially opened it’s doors: Maria Luisa Carte Blanche. This contemporary Dutch design store is created in collaboration with Maria Luisa, one of the leading designer stores in Paris. Maria Luisa Carte Blanche is located on 32 Rue Mont Thabor in Paris. Over the next month, each week a new group of designers will show and sell their work, inviting you to discover the different faces and approaches in Dutch fashion. Click here for an impression...

DUTCH TOUCH PARIS 2005 – Fashion Universe, a fashion and performance hybrid

On Monday May 30th, the glass building of the Fondation Cartier in Paris for one evening turned into a fashion universe of Dutch artists and designers. Throughout the evening models in designs by G+N, Jan Taminiau and Percy Irausquin performed as inhabitants of the universe when blending in with the crowd. In the garden, several performances where given by artist Bas Kosters and his band, while Stephan Schreiber recreated a camping site where models seated in his designs. Inside, Martin Duvall sang a duet together with a soprano and dance company David Parker & The Bang Group performed in outfits created by Melanie Rozema and Jeroen Teunissen.

DUTCH TOUCH PARIS 2005 - Sales-exhibition 1ère Station

On Wednesday May 11 the Galerie des Expositions in metro-station Palais Royal - Musée du Louvre opened officially with the sales-exhibition 1ère Station, presenting almost 20 rising talents of contemporary Dutch fashion. The opening was well attended by the Parisian world of arts and fashion. The sales-exhibition can be visited until Tuesday May 31 and is organised in co-operation with the Institut d'Etudes Supérieures des Arts - IESA in Paris. 1ère Station is part of the campaign Dutch Touch Paris and is inserted in the programme celebrating the twentieth anniversary of the IESA.

DUTCH TOUCH PARIS 2005 - Exhibition Stretching Boundaries, Fashion and beyond

On Tuesday May 3 the exhibition Stretching Boundaries, Fashion and beyond opened at the gallery Passage du Désir. This exhibition, part of the campaign DUTCH TOUCH PARIS 2005, focuses in particular on the blend of fashion and art and can be visited until Friday May 13. The opening was very well received by 400 people of the world of press, fashion and publicity and representatives of Parisian galleries.

DUTCH TOUCH PARIS 2005 - The Kickoff

On Thursday April 28, DUTCH TOUCH PARIS 2005 was succesfully launched at the opening of the exibition Modes en Miroir, la France et la Hollande au temps des Lumières at Galliera, Musée de la Mode de la Ville de Paris. This special event with a tableau vivant of contemporary Dutch fashion and a presentation of the video Les dix Parfums was attended by 900 people, representing the crème de la crème of the Parisian cultural scene.
